Weddings with children are always very special. Eyla and Eric approached me well before the world became so uncomfortable. I was all the more pleased that the young family, despite worries and turbulent times, were able to experience their dream wedding as planned at a castle – With joy, dancing and lots of colorful outdoor games!

A bright summer day accompanied Jessica & Andre’s big day. The church they have chosen to get married, is hidden inmidst a small green oasis. A perfect place to have their reception, providing plenty of corners to retreat to for a photoshooting. I was particulary moved by the moment they were reading their marriage vows – in private, only the two of them.
Veronika and Sven’s wedding was all about water. They made their vows in the registry of Bad Wiessee and the church St. Quirinus in Tegernsee.
The rainy summer that was surrounding Germany this year was not taking a break for the wedding of the couple. A fine, drizzling rain was spraying all day and brightened up only in the golden evening hours. But who said with rain you can’t take beautiful pictures? What other time there is to cuddle under the umbrella!
Even the wedding reception was almost cancelled due to the water, because the booked location – boathouse of Hotel Terassenhof – had to be closed the day before due to high water levels. But Tegernsee was meaning well with them and cut back to bridge level just in time the night before. Maybe the monster of Tegernsee has gained some weight…?
Within this wedding, surprises were waiting at each and every corner. A personal highlight was for me, when the bride suddenly got up from her chair during the church marriage and started singing a song for her spouse. With such a wonderful surprise there is no dry eye left! After the ceremony the best man came along with the groom’s renovated old Vesper to go on a spin with him. The sisters of the bride organized a photo booth for the couple and the guests to have fun with. The culmination of the evening was, when the whole party crowd released about 100 colorful LED baloons into the Tegernsee nightsky.
Die standesamtliche Trauung war schon vollbracht. Noch einmal tief durchatmen, und dann ging es ans große Umstyling für die kirchliche Trauung in einem Traum aus weißem Tüll, feiner Spitze und Schnürung. Viele liebe Gäste haben sich viele schöne Überraschungen für das Brautpaar einfallen lassen: Ein schweres Hufeisens für massives Glück, ein paar weiße Hochzeitstauben und Luftballons als Gruß an diejenigen, die von oben herab an der Feier teilnahmen.
For the civil wedding and reception the couple chose the stunning environment of Märkisches Museum, a big Berlin museum. Following a Turkish tradition, Nushin celebrated a mehndi night a few days bevore with lots of traditional music, dance and joy with female family and friends. And after midnight the men were allowed to crash into the party!
